Mahra defeated Desert Palm by 10 goals to 9 in the second action day of the Julius Baer Gold Cup 2018 held today at the Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club. Mahra takes the lead in the Zone B after winning a very tough match against Desert Palm. After two even chukkers (2-2/ 3-3), patron Rashid Al Habtoor´s team (replaced today by Khalid bin Drai) played a superb third chukka that gave them the lead by four goals. Mahra kept a 4-goal gap also on the fourth chukker and seemed to close the game without risks.
But Desert Palm foursome made a great comeback in the last period to tie the game in 9 goals with 1 minute to go, time when Benjamín Urquiza, after a great individual action, scored the winning goal for Mahra Polo Team.
