The USPA Gold Cup, second leg of The Gauntlet of Polo, continued on Tuesday, March 15, at International Polo Club Palm Beach, in Wellington with Tamera and La Elina claiming wins to qualify for the quarter finals.
First up, Tamera (received two goals on handicap) held La Fe scoreless over three chukkas before securing a 13-10 win. Next, La Elina fought back in the third to defeat Cessna (received three goals on handicap; Alejandro Novillo Astrada subbed in for his injured brother, Miguel) by 14 goals to 9.
Therefore, La Elina, Park Place, Old Hickory Bourbon/Airstream, Tamera, Pilot, Dutta Corp/Show +, Coca Cola and Scone have all qualified to play the quarter finals, on Saturday, March 19 and Sunday, March 20.
The USPA Gold Cup sees thirteen teams, up to 22 goals, compete. The final will be played on Sunday, March 27.
