Park Place claimed a 16-10 win over La Elina and became the first team to secure a spot in the semifinals of the USPA Gold Cup, the second leg of The Gauntlet of Polo, that’s underway at International Polo Club Palm Beach, in Wellington.

 

The USPA Gold Cup sees thirteen teams, up to 22 goals, compete. The final will be played on Sunday, March 27.

 

In the match played in the morning, Park Place managed to dominate La Elina, through a great performance by their two flagship men, Hilario Ulloa y Juan Britos, who produced a total of twelve goals between the two, six each. The winners had Josh Hyde subbing in for Andrey Borodin, while La Elina received one goal on handicap.
