The US Open Polo Championship non stop action continued with a double header on Wednesday April 5 and a single contest on Thursday April 6. The biggest blow was Dazos who not only remain unbeaten but also defeated reigning champions, Pilot (the only winners of The Gauntlet of Polo, up to date). The most prestigious polo competition in the United States and the highlight of The Gauntlet of Polo, the US Open Polo Championship is being played at the USPA-owned National Polo Center Wellington, in Wellington, Florida. The culminating contest of the polo season in the United States sees thirteen teams up to 22 goals, split in five leagues, in participation.
On Wednesday April 5, MAG (formerly Shack Attack), defeated Dutta Corp Show + por 13-11; up next, Park Place claimed a 11-8 win over Aspen. Meanwhile on Thursday April 6, Dazos produced a big blow by beating no less than title holders Pilot.
Therefore, three unbeaten teams have already secured a place in quarter finals – Scone (2-0), Park Place (2-0) and Dazos (2-0).
