The US Open Polo Championship continues, despite the grief within the polo community due to the serious incident that involved Bob Jornayvaz during the match between Valiente and Dutta Corp, on Saturday April 6. The contest, that was postponed in the third chukka, resumed on Monday April 6. The Colorado-based lineup, led by Adolfo Cambiaso, earned a 9-8 win. Thus, they claimed their third consecutive victory, and remain undefeated.
Meanwhile, on Sunday April 9, Tamera had to fight very hard to beat La Fe, in a match that ended up in extra chukka, with Tamera’s Matías Torres Zavaleta producing the winning goal, in order to maintain the hopes to advance to the next stage.
Action will resume on Tuesday April 9, with a single match.
The final of the US Open Polo Championship is due on Sunday April 21, at the National Polo Center.
