UAE Polo beatFerne Park by a narrow 13-12 and claimed the Trippett’s Challenge, following the championship match that took place on Monday May 20, at Cowdray Park Polo Club, set in Midhurst, West Sussex. The tounrnament, one of the most significant of the high goal season in England, saw six teams up to 22 goals, in participation.
UAE got off to a better start, by earning a 3-1 lead in the first chukka. However, the two next chukkas belonged to Ferne Park, producing enough goals to take considerable advantage. UAE were back on the game after half time and re-took the lead (10-9), but Ferne Park never gave up – they tied at 11-all, but after a very hard fought sixth chukka, luck was on UAE’s side, and took the title home.
