Action for the 83th. Tortugas Open, the second leg of the prestigious Triple Crown in Argentina, continued on Sunday October 15, with two games. The winners of the day were La Irenita Clinova and La Hache La Roca, who were victorious over La Hache Cría & Polo and Ellerstina, respectively. The 83rd. Tortugas Open sees eight teams up to 40 goals, in participation.

La Irenita Clinova claimed their first win in the season, after a narrow 17-16 victory over La Hache Cría & Polo, in one of the best contests of the up-to-date. The two first chukkas belonged to La Irenita Clinova, but La Hache Cría & Polo closed the gap slowly until they managed to tie at 16-all with only a minute and a half left. But Matías Torres Zavaleta had another ideas in mind, so he run to produce the goal that sealed the deal in favour of La Irenita Clinova.

The second match was a completely different story. La Hache La Roca – with Polito Pieres back on the saddle, although Rufino Bensadon subbed in for him in the seventh chukka – swept Ellerstina 18-9. Hilario Ulloa and Co. overwhelmed the men in black, reaching a heavy 12-2 advantage in the fourth chukka, that had the match almost said and done. Although Ellerstina seemed lost, they struggled to fight back, but they were unable to stop the dominance of their opponents. At the end of the day, La Hache La Roca claimed a crucial win in order to fullfill their aim to get a spot in the final.

La Hache Cría y Polo: Lucas Monteverde Jr.  7 (5 goals), Carlos María Ulloa 7 (4, one Penalty 1), Facundo Sola 8 (2, one penalty), Joaquín Pittaluga 8 (5, three penalties, one corner). Total: 30.

Score La Irenita Clinova: 4-1, 6-4, 8-7, 12-7, 13-10, 15-13, 17-16.

La Hache La Roca: Pablo Pieres 9 (3 goals, one Penalty 1, subbed in by Rufino Bensadon 9, at the start of the seventh chukka), Hilario Ulloa 9 (6), Guillermo Caset 9 (6, one penalty), Francisco Elizalde 9 (3, two penalties). Total: 36.

Ellerstina Yellow Rose: Gonzalo Pieres Jr. 9 (5, two penalties), Nicolás Pieres 9 (1), Bautista Bayugar 8 (3, one penalty), Ignatius du Plessis 9. Total: 35.

Score La Hache La Roca: 3-1, 7-1, 10-1, 12-2, 13-5, 16-6, 18-9.
