La Dolfina Saudi and La Natividad are due to decide League A of the 83rd. Tortugas Open, following their wins against Cría La Dolfina and La Ensenada, respectively. The games were played on Saturday October 14, at Tortugas Country Club. The winner of the contest will be the first finalist of the second tournament of the coveted Argentine Triple Crown, that sees eight teams up to 40 goals, in participation.
In the opening game, La Dolfina Saudi remained in the winning path, and claimed an impressive 14-7 victory over Cría La Dolfina. After two very hard fought first chukkas, La Dolfina Saudi took off in the third, widening their advantage and leaving their opponents unable to reach them. Halfway the sixth chukka, La Dolfina Saudi´s Pelon Stirling had to leave the field due to an injury, and was subbed in by Gonzalo Ferrari.
Up next, La Natividad claimed their second game in the tournament, after beating La Ensenada 14-10. La Ensenada outscored La Natividad 2-0 in the first chukka, but La Natividad took off from the second chukka onwards, to seize the reins led by the two Castagnola brothers and Facundo Pieres; halfway the last chukka, they earned a seven goal advantage. However, La Ensenada didn’t give up: Alfredo Bigatti produced three unanswered goals, but the damage was already done, and the Cañuelas-based team were victorious.
