The 59th. Jockey Club Open for the Thai Polo continued on Thursday September 12 and Friday September 13, at the Argentine Association of Polo Headquarters, in Pilar and the Jockey Club in San Isidro, respectively, with Dubai La Natividad and double title holders, Scone, victorious.

On Thursday September 12, Dubai La Natividad claimed a narrow 15-14 victory over Black Hound, who won their debut match. Dubai La Natividad dominated the match and the scoreboard and by the start of the sixth and last chukka, they had a comfortable 15-10 lead. But Black Hound had another ideas in mind – they took Dubai La Natividad by surprise, and managed to bounce back to outscore their contenders 4-0. However, the efforts didn’t pay off, and Dubai managed to take the win home. It’s worth to notice that, despite the loss, Black Hound’s Joaquin Pittaluga was the team’s most crucial player once again.

Meanwhile, double defending champions (2022-2023), Scone, made their debut on Friday September 13, against La Hache. However, it was not that easy for David Paradice & Co.; they remained scoreless during three chukkas, while La Hache closed the gap, until they grabbed the lead in the fifth chukka (9-8).  Scone’s resurrection came in the last chukka; they produced four unanswered goals to earn the 12-9 win.
