The championship match of the prestigious Cámara de Diputados Cup, between La Irenita and La Irenita II, was played on the Juan Carlos Harriott ground, set at the AAP Headquarters, in Pilar. The tournament saw sixteen teams between 24 and 29 goals, in participation; seven who didn’t qualify to the Argentine Open and the nine best of the Pilar Cup.

La Irenita claimed the trophy, in an unforgettable day for the MacDonough family’s organisation, after a 13-11 win against La Irenita II. Martín Podestá played a remarkable contest – he was the top scorer and was 100% accurate in penalty converstions. The winners were 4-8 behind in the fourth chukka, but they managed to score five unanswered goals and were victorious.

La Irenita won another remarkable title in the season, following the Pilar Cup, undefeated after winning eleven consecutive games split between the two competitions. Amazing!

Therefore, the winners will go head-to-head in the playoff against the eighth team within the 2023 Ranking, on Sunday December 2, at 10am, in Pilar. The winners will qualify to the 2024 Triple Crown, alongside La Dolfina Saudi, La Natividad, La Hache La Roca, La Ensenada Brubank, Ellerstina Yellow Rose, Cría La Dolfina and La Hache Cría y Polo.
