La Irenita and La Irenita II, the two teams of the MacDonough’s family organisation, qualified to the final of the prestigious Cámara de Diputados Cup, following the semifinals that were played at the AAP Headquarters, in Pilar. The tournament, one fo the most remarkable of the spring season in Argentina, sees sixteen teams between 25 and 29 goals, in participation.
In the first semifinal, La Irenita II claimed a 14-9 win over Alegría. Up next, La Irenita bounced back, and defeated Cañuelas 16-13.
La Irenita and La Irenita II will play the championship match of the Cámara de Diputados Cup on Thursday November 30, at 5pm, in Pilar; the winners will go to a playoff with the fifth placed team in the 2023 ranking, and the winner will play the 2024 Triple Crown.
