High goal polo is set and ready to kick off in Argentina. The Jockey Club, set in San Isidro, Province of Buenos Aires, will welcome the 61st. Jockey Club Open, the renowned tournament that preceeds the Triple Crown, the most coveted polo trophy worldwide. As usual, the Jockey Club Open will see some of the biggest names of the sport, and will run through Thrusday September 8 to Saturday September 19, and will see five teams between 28 and 34 goals, partake.

 

One of the participant lineups that brings great expectations is La Natividad La Dolfina, with Bartolomé “Lolo” Castagnola, playing alongside his sons Camilo and Bartolomé Jr, and his nephew, Adolfo “Poroto” Cambiaso. The lineup is rated at 34 goals.

 

Other names include some of the most important organisations from Argentina and abroad, like La Irenita; the comeback to Argentine high goal of Camilo Bautista’s Las Monjitas; Don Ercole; and Louis Devaleix’s La Fe. It’s worth remembering that the Jockey Club Open title holders are Pilot who defeated Scone in the all-American final, in 2025.
