Casablanca and Santa Rita – both rated at 32 goals – played the championship match of the tournament that marked the start of a new edition of the World Polo League, The All-Star Challenge and took place on Sunday February 16, at Marc and Melissa Ganzi’s Grand Champions Polo Club, set in Wellington, Florida.

Casablanca claimed the coveted trophy following a 8-5 win over Santa Rita. Sapo Caset was named MVP, and his team mate, Grant Ganzi, quoted that  “it always helps when you are playing with three 10-goal players. I know Sapo is nine but he plays 10. I’ve played with Juanma for seven years and that makes it a lot easier and Tommy (NR: Panelo) was an incredible teammate. I had never played with him. I was in awe of his skill level. The way he processes the game is very fast and at a high level.”

The next tournament of the World Polo League is The Founders Cup, due to commence on Wednesday February 19. The final will be played on March 2.
