On Friday July 19, the Argentine Association of Polo (AAP) revealed the dates and spots of the upcoming 2024 Triple Crown, that is due to start on Tuesday September 24, with the Hurlingham Open. It will be followed by the Tortugas Open, and will come to an end with the much anticipated final of the Argentine Polo Open Championship, on Saturday December 7.

Among the most significant news of the 2024 season, it is worth to notice that all of the games of the Triple Crown will be played at eight chukkas. It will be the year of the comeback of Indios Chapaleufu, in a lineup that include the new generation of players from the remarkable Heguy family, with Antonio Heguy and Cruz Heguy, the sons of Pepe and Ruso Heguy. Both Pepe and Ruso have been winners of the Argentine Open on four occassions, wearing the Indios Chapaleufu II jersey. And the ice of the cake is the return of the two 40-goal teams – La Natividad and La Dolfina.

Eight teams are set to be playing the 2024 Triple Crown – La Natividad (Tortugas and Palermo title holders), La Dolfina Saudi (Hurlingham defending champions), La Hache, La Ensenada, Ellerstina, Cría La Dolfina, La Hache II and Indios Chapaleufú.

In the meantime, these eight lineups will be joined by other two in the Argentine Open, through the Qualification Tournament Copas Remonta y Veterinaria. Eight teams are set to compete to earn those two coveted spots – La Irenita, La Irenita II, La Matera, La Aguada, La Esquina, La Zeta Kazak, La Dolfina y La Ensenada II.

The Qualification Tournament will be split in two leagues of four teams each, and the winners of each league will qualify to the most significant polo tournament of the world.
