Following the end of the polo season in Argentina, on Wednesday December 11, the Board of Directors of the Argentine Association of Polo (AAP), led by the President, Mr. Delfin Uranga,  unveiled the handicap changes for both gentlemen and ladies.

 

The most significative low is Pelon Stirling’s, from 10 to 10, after he announced his retirement of the Triple Crown. With regards to the raises, the most important ones are as follows: Cruz Heguy and Lukin Monteverde (8 to 9); Antonio Heguy, Benjamín Panelo, Facundo Llosa, Gonzalo Ferrari, Isidro Strada and Mariano González Jr. (7 to 8); Beltrán Laulhé, Lorenzo Chavanne, Félix Esaín, Javier Guerrero Jr., Jesse Bray, Joaquín Panelo, Paco de Narváez and Ricardo Garrós (6 to 7).

 

In the meantime, and in addition to Pelon’s low, others include Alfredo Bigatti and Juan Britos (9 to 8); Cristian Laprida Jr., Facundo Fernández Llorente, Ignacio Novillo Astrada, Jacinto Crotto, Juan Ruiz Guiñazú, Martín Podestá and Tomás Fernández Llorente Jr (8 to 7); Bautista García, Facundo Obregón, Juan A. García Grossi, Mariano Aguerre, Matías Magrini and Sebastián Merlos (7 to 6).

 

The changes will become effective on January 1, 2025.

HAZEL JACKSON AND CANDELARIA FERNÁNDEZ ARAUJO 10 GOALERS IN LADIES POLO

 

In addition, the AAP announced the ladies handicap changes, with both Candelaria Fernández Araujo and Hazel Jackson raised to 10. It’s worth to remember that Cande and Hazel retained the title of the VIII Argentine Women’s Open with El Overo Z7 UAE. Mia Cambiaso and Millie Hine were raised from 8 to 9, as well.
