On Monday October 28, the Argentine Association of Polo revealed that the 131st. Argentine Polo Open Championship, the highlight of the polo season in Argentina, is due to commence on Saturday November 2. It’s worth to notice that it was announced that the Argentine Open would kickoff the day after the Tortugas Open final, set on Friday November 1.
But the schedule has changed, and is set as follows:
Friday November 1 – FINAL TORTUGAS OPEN
Saturday November 2 – 131st. ARGENTINE POLO OPEN CHAMPIONSHIP BEGINS
Therefore, the two first matchdates of the 131st. Argentine Polo Open Championship will take place at Palermo on Saturday November 2 and Sunday November 3.
With regards to the leagues for the Argentine Open, it will be set according to the results in Tortugas. At the moment, Indios Chapaleufu, La Hache Cría & Polo and La Aguada are within League A, while League B will feature La Ensenada, Cría La Dolfina and La Zeta Kazak.
How about the finalists of the 84th. Tortugas Open? Depends on the result. Eventually, if La Hache are the winners, they will go to League A and Ellerstina to League B. If Ellerstina wins the championship match, it will be otherwise.
Meanwhile, and also depending on the result of the Tortugas Open final, the second of each league, La Dolfina and La Natividad, will be split in each league to play the Argentine Open.
