Ladies polo has been growing steadily around the world, and the most prestigious competition is set in Argentina, with the Women’s Argentine Open, in its eighth consecutive year. The tournament will see four teams between 27 and 36 goals (ladies handicap), in participation, and the lineups will include some of the best ladies players from Argentina, United States, France and England, including the brand new 10-goaler, American Hope Arellano.

The competition is due to kick off on Wednesday November 20. While the league stage will be played in the Argentine Association of Polo, in Pilar, the championship match will take place on Saturday December 7, at Palermo, prior to the gentlemen’s final.

EL Overo Z7 UAE, current reigning champions, who also were victorious in 2019 and 2020, will aim to retain the title; La Dolfina, who won the tournament more than any other team (2017, 2018, 2021 and 2022), will go for their fifth title. The two remaining teams are La Hache Thai Polo and Chapa Uno Finca La Rosina.

The qualification games are due on November 20, November 28 and December 2. The two first placed will play the final, and those placed third and fourth will clash for the Subsidiary Trophy on Thursday December 5.
