One of the most important tournaments in Asia kicked off at Thai Polo & Equestrian Club on Thursday: the Thai Polo Open. Four 14-goal teams are competing in the tournament, which marks the beginning of the Royal Malaysian Polo Association International League. The series then continues in Malaysia in August with three tournaments: the Royal Selangor Polo Club Open, the RMPA Classic & the RMPA International League Final.
The opening day saw Juan Manuel García Grossi defeat his father, Agustín, in the match where Thai Polo beat 22BR by 7 goals to 6.5.
The tournament final is scheduled for Saturday, January 19; a fabulous party will close the competition.
