John Smith Ayala ran out the winners of the medium goal Terralpa Silver Cup following a 14-11 win over Cibao La Pampa in the final on Friday, August 13. Prior to the main game, Hodro Polo won the Heineken Cup. Both games were played at Santa María Polo Club. The tournament marks the second stage of the 50th Anniversary Torneo Internacional de Polo by La Reserva Club de Sotogrande.

John Smith Ayala and Cibao La Pampla played a thrilling final, despite the lingering fog that troubled the players. John Smith Ayala dominated the first chukka, outscoring Cibao La Pampa by 4 goals to 1. Slowly, Cibao La Pampa levelled the score and tied the game in the fifth chukka. However, John Smith Ayala bounced back and widened their advantage. They stepped into the sixth and last chukka with a 3-goal advantage. The winners managed to hold onto the lead, securing the 14-11 victory and the title.

Following the finals, the awards ceremony was held. Renowned personalities such as Ramón Hermosilla, Delegate Counselor of Terralpa; Almudena Lebois, also from Terralpa; and Marta García, Heineken Responsible for Campo de Gibraltar, joined the team in the presentation.

The Terralpa Silver Cup continues on Saturday, August 14, as BN Polo and Ayala meet to fight for the high goal title.
