Following their victory against Park Place Vaara on Friday May 27, Dubai is the first team who secured a spot in the quarter finals of the Queen’s Cup. Guards Polo Club’s most prestigious tournament sees fifteen teams, up to 22 goals, compete for the title.

In the opening contest, played on the Castle Ground, Dubai and Park Place Vaara went head-to-head in the much anticipated clash of the unbeaten, between two of the most important organisations of the tournament as well as strong contenders to claim the title. The first half belonged to Park Place Vaara, until Dubai made a comeback from the fourth chukka onwards, until they trailed by just one goal, 12-13, with one chukka left to play. Dubai outscored Park Place Vaara in the last chukka, with goals by Rashid Albwardy (1) and the inimitable Camilo Castagnola (2), to seal the deal. Not only they remained undefeated, but they also obtained the first ticket to quarter finals. Up next, Thai Polo NP won their first game after a narrow victory 10-9 victory over Clinova, with a goal by César Crespo in the last chukka.
