The Justerini & Brooks Prince of Wales Trophy, the opening tournament of the high goal in England, resumed on Saturday May 13, with two matches. The contest, hosted by the Royal County of Berkshire Polo Club, located in Winkfield, sees ten teams up to 22 goals, in participation. The final of the Justerini & Brooks Prince of Wales Trophy is due to be played on Saturday May 20.
Dubai and Park Place Vaara opened fire. Despite the yellow jerseys dominated most of the game, goals scored by Rufino Bensadon and Rufino Merlos (who subbed in for Rashid Albwardy), were crucial to seal the deal in favour of Dubai.
Up next, the Zacara grounds greeted the last champions of the Gold Cup, Park Place, who claimed a debut win against Sujan Indian Tigers. Park Place seized the reins from the third chukka onwards, and although Sujan Indian Tigers struggled to produce some goals in order to try to close the gap, the damage was already done, and at the end of the day, Andrey Borodin´s foursome took the win in the second Saturday match.
