The first President of Pakistan National Open Championship was won by Newage Cables/Master Paints at Jinnah Polo Fields, in Pakistan. It was a hard fought match, which came to an end in extra chukka with a golden goal by Gonzalo Deltour.

Several spectators were at the club to watch the final, while many others watched it live on PoloLine TV. Prior to the main final, Remounts claimed the Subsidiary Trophy, defeating Masters Paints in double extra chukka. Simon Prado scored the winning goal. 

The tournament saw nine teams, up to 14 goals, in competition.
