The 24th. Open de France Barnes continued on Thursday September 12, with double matchdate at the Polo Club du Domaine de Chantilly, in France, that saw La Fija and Jolly Roger victorious, over Octogone and Battistoni, respectively.
La Fija Sandbox and Octogone opened fire. With the former already in quarter finals, the clash would only determine whether they qualify undefeated. Following a very even contest, La Fija achieved their aim; led by MVP Fran Elizalde, they claimed a narrow 6-5 victory.
The highlight of they day was Battistoni and Jolly Roger; a crucial game, indeed, because the winner would qualify to quarter finals. Like the previous match, both teams played a very close one; the Jauretche brothers’ foursome remained in the lead until the third chukka, when Niclas Johansson’s & Co. bounced back, and leveled the scores until they managed to force an extra chukka. It was James Beim who produced the winning goal, to secure Jolly Roger a spot in quarter finals.
