La Fija Sandbox and Mungo are through the championship match of the 24th. Open de France Barnes, after defeating title holders, Kazak, and Jolly Roger, respectively, in the semifinals that took place on Friday September 20 at the Polo Club du Domaine de Chantilly.

La Fija Sandobx and Kazak opened fire; the then title holders aimed to reach the final in order to defend their title. Following two very balanced chukkas, La Fija Sandbox seized the reins from the third chukka onwards, earning enough advantage that led them to the 10-7 win and the first spot in the decisive game. It’s worth to note that La Fija Sandbox will play the final of the Open de France for the first time ever.

Up next, Mungo and Jolly Roger went head-to-head in the second semifinal. Although the first chukka was very close, the French team took off in the second chukka, holding their contenders back; by the start of the last chukka, they had the deal almost said and done, leading by five goals. At the end of the day, Mungo claimed a 12-7 victory and will go for the coveted title against La Fija Sandobx on Sunday.
