The intense action at Polo Club du Domaine de Chantilly resumed on Friday with an important match for the Open de France. The Trophee Castel (8 goals) and the Open de France Feminin also hosted key games.
The Open de France, one of the most prestigious medium and high goal tournaments in Europe, revealed the remaining finalist (Marques de Riscal had already qualified) on Friday after Marquard Media defeated Sainte Mesme 9 goals to 8 at Chantilly. It was a very tight and even match, where the 8 goals scored by Clemente Zavaleta, Sainte Mesme’s playmaker, over 5 chukkas, were not enough to stop Tommy Rinderknecht’s team, who were very solid in defence.

The first semifinal of Trophee Castel took place on Friday. Nine 8 goal teams are in competition. In the match, Land Rover qualified to the final after beating Cavok 6 goals to 2. Their rival will be known on Saturday, after Las Hermanitas face Mungo.

Polo Club du Domaine de Chantilly is also hosting the eighth edition of the Women’s French Open, which sees four 16 goal (ladies handicap) teams in competition.
