The Marcelo Dorignac Cup commenced on Saturday April 1 at Tortugas Country Club, set in Tortuguitas and the venue of the opening competition of the coveted Argentine Triple Crown, the Tortugas Open. The Marcelo Dorignac Cup, that was established more than 30 years ago, sees seven teams up to 22 goals split in two leagues, in participation.
One of the most traditional tournaments of the competitive Autumn season in Argentina, it’s been named after a remarkable and respected player, who played for Tortugas and the legendary Santa Ana. The lineups must be composed of two members of the Tortugas CC, while the remaining two players are usually invited.
