Following their remarkable win at the Singureni Manor Polo Cup, the arena polo played in Romania, Maltese Falcons had a big return to their home, Grand Champions Polo Club, and were victorious at the Pedro Morrison Memorial, in the final that took place on Sunday October 20, at the club established by Marc and Melissa Ganzi 18 years ago.
Maltese Falcons defeated Devon Polo 14-10, in a thrilling contest in front of packed granddstands. Nic Roldán delivered an outstanding performance – he produced seven goals for the winners and was named MVP. In the secon chukka, Devon Polo’s Marc Ganzi suffered and injury and had to be replaced by Joseph Schwartz.
The Subsidiary went to SebiLion, who claimed a narrow 6-5 victory against Newport.
The next tournament to be played at Grand Champions is the Banyan Cup, that will run through October 22-27.
