Following the extremely successful IX Edition of the Lawyers Polo Cup back in March in Plettenberg Bay, South Africa, the  tournament is set to return to Argentina once again. The competition will be played between December 5-10 at Alegria Polo Club, in General Rodriguez, Pilar.

The one-of-a-kind event will see ten teams, composed of 40 of the most prestigious international lawyers who share a passion for polo, compete. Players come from Argentina, Perú, Chile, Colombia, France, Mexico, Venezuela, United States, England, Switzerland, Germany, Austria, South Africa, India, Singapore and Pakistan.

“It is a huge joy to be going back to Argentina with Lawyers Polo, the place where everything kicked off 14 years ago!” Eduardo Bereterbide told PoloLine. An international arbitration lawyer who lives in Paris, Bereterbide grew up in Argentina, where he developed a great passion for polo. In 2008, he established Lawyers Polo. “There will be a great opening party in at an iconic place in Buenos Aires, which is still a surprise!” he says.

Meanwhile, Alegria’s Fred Mannix is happy to host such a prestigious event: “Welcome Lawyers Polo to Alegria!” said the Canadian-born player. “We are looking forward to seeing you in December and very happy to greet you at our club!”
