The playoff between Alegria, who were eighth in the rankings, and the winners of the Cámara de Diputados Cup, La Irenita II, was played on Sunday, December 12. La Irenita II claimed a close 12-11 victory after a very hard fought match, decided by a goal scored by Facundo Fernández Llorente in the last chukka.

This is the second time the winners of the Cámara de Diputados Cup win the playoff. The first time was in 2020, when Brava beat Cria Gete.

As a result, Facundo and Tomás Fernández Llorente, Mín Podestá and Agustín García Grossi have secured the necessary points to qualify for the main draw of the 2022 Triple Crown. They join the remaining seven teams: La Natividad, La Dolfina Saudi, Ellerstina, RS Murus Sanctus, LD Brava, La Ensenada, and La Irenita.
