Four Quarters Black took a narrow 8-7 win over Four Quarters Orange to win the Justerini & Brooks Arthur Lucas Cup at Beaufort Polo Club, on Saturday, May 28.

Set in Tetbury, Gloucestershire, Beaufort Polo Club was set in 1872 by Colonel Frank Henry. The present club was formed in 1928 and 1929 under the presidency of the Duke of Beaufort. The outbreak of the Second World War obliged the club to cease the activities, and only in 1977, with the arrival of the Tomlinson family, did polo restart at the club. In 1989, the legendary Claire Tomlinson and her husband, Simon Tomlinson, brought fresh air to Beaufort, to encourage young players to learn to play and improve their skills by providing first class facilities for both spectators and players.

The Justerini & Brooks Arthur Lucas Cup saw teams between 12 and 15 goals compete.
