Monterosso, Ellerstina Pilot and El Overo Z7 UAE claimed victories on the first day of the 57th Jockey Club Open Thai Polo Cup, on Sunday, September 11 at the Argentine Association of Polo, in Pilar. One of the most significant tournaments of the season in Argentina, the Jockey Club Open Thai Polo Cup precedes the much anticipated Argentine Triple Crown and is hosted by Harald Link’s organization, Thai Polo, with the support of Minuto 7 Polo and the Argentine Association of Polo.

In the opening contest, Monterosso took an impressive 17-5 victory over Cria La Dolfina; up next Ellerstina Pilot claimed a 14-8 win over title holders, La Ensenada; and El Overo Z7 UAE made a spectacular comeback to defeat La Dolfina 10-8.

The 57th Jockey Club Open Thai Polo Club sees nine teams, between 26 and 31 goals, compete. Teams are split into three leagues.

The final of the 57th Jockey Club Open Thai Polo Cup is set to be played on Saturday, September 24.
