The British Open Gold Cup, one of the most prestigious polo titles in the world, resumed at Cowdray Park Polo Club, with four matches; two were held on Saturday, June 29, and two on Sunday, June 30. The tournament sees teams up to 22-goals compete.
On Saturday, Scone and Emlor claimed narrow wins. The recent winners of the Queen’s Cup fought hard to beat Monterosso in extra chukka, while Emlor made a great comeback to defeat VS King Power, also by one.
Sunday’s matches were not as close – both Murus Sanctus and Dubai defeated Park Place and La Indiana, respectively, by three goals.
THE GOLD CUP FINAL IS DUE ON SUNDAY, JULY 21.
