The IFZA Gold Cup, the most important tournament of Asia and the Middle East, is due to start on Wednesday, February 15. The competition is celebrating its 14th anniversary. Thanks Mohammed Al Habtoor’s efforts, the series has become one of the highlights of the international calendar of polo. The 2023 edition will see eight teams, up to 20 goals, compete. Teams will be split into two leagues.
IFZA Habtoor and Bangas – both competitors of the Dubai Silver Cup, a title claimed by UAE Polo – will kick start the tournament onWednesday at 2pm. The match will be followed by a game between AM Polo, recent runner up of the Dubai Silver Cup, and Mahra, a team making their debut in the 20 goal season.
Both matches will be played on Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club’s main field.
The finals of the IFZA Gold Cup will be played on Saturday March 4.
