I Ladies World Cup: Argentina & United States to play for title

Argentina and United States will play the final of the I Ladies World Cup following their respective semifinal wins against Italy and England on Thursday, April 14, at Palermo.

The tournament, which marks a milestone in the history of the sport, sees six national teams compete for the title: Argentina, Brazil, United States, England, Ireland, and Italy.

Teams are split into two groups, with each group playing a round robin format, where the top team of each group will face off. The final is scheduled for Saturday, April 16.

In a very hard fought game, United States claimed the first spot in the final after narrowly defeating England 4-3. Next, Argentina overwhelmed Italy, claiming a massive 7-0.5 win to secure a spot in the final.

 

  • I LADIES WORLD CUP – SEMIFINALS – THURSDAY, APRIL 14

Meanwhile, Brazil claimed the Bronze Cup following their 4.5 – 4 victory over Ireland at the AAP in Pilar, on Wednesday, April 13.

 

The finals of the I Ladies World Cup are due on Saturday, April 16. England and Italy will clash for the Silver Cup at 2:30pm, while Argentina and United States will compete for the main title, at 4pm.
