La Natividad and La Dolfina will battle it out for a place in the final of the Hurlingham Open, the second leg of the coveted Argentine Triple Crown, after taking respective wins against Alegria and La Ensenada on Sunday, October 24, at the Argentine Association of Polo, in Pilar. The tournament sees eight teams, up to 39 goals, compete.
Alegria got off to a surprisingly strong start, taking a 6-3 lead over La Natividad in the second chukka. But La Natividad seized the reins as of the third chukka, outscoring Fred Mannix’s team 6-1, to secure an impressive 20-11 victory.
Next, La Dolfina Saudi defeated La Ensenada by 14 goals to 9. La Dolfina – lead by Adolfo Cambiaso and Diego Cavanagh – showed their power from the start. Between the two of them, they scored a total of 13 goals.
Therefore, the Hurlingham Open will see a thrilling “semifinal” between the two Cañuelas-based lineups, in a much anticipated Castagnola-Cambiaso clash.
