Habtoor and UAE Polo will play the final of the Dubai Silver Cup, that will take place on Saturday February 3 at Al Habtoor Polo Resort & Club, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates. The championship match not only is a new edition of the derby of the Middle East, but it is quite a rematch. Mohammed Al Habtoor’s foursome defeated Sheikha Maitha’s lineup – the current title holders – during the league stage on January 27.
Habtoor, who will have Facundo Fernández Llorente subbing in for the injured Bautista Bayugar, qualified to the final undefeated. UAE Polo beat Dubai Wolves by CAFU in a single semifinal; both teams qualified through a penalty shootout, due to a triple tie with Bangash. It is worth to note that UAE Polo also edged Dubai Wolves by CAFU in the league stage.
Prior to the main final, Bangash and Dubai Wolves by CAFU will clash for the Subsidiary Insignia Cup.

The 2024 Dubai Silver Cup is played under the rules of the Hurlingham Polo Association (HPA), and officiated by its qualified umpires. Categorized within the World Polo Tour’s WPT Cup category, the tournament holds significant global recognition. Winners of the Silver Cup will be bestowed with 60 points, finalists with 30 points, semi-finalists with 15 points, and all other participating players with 8 points, contributing to their standing on the international polo stage.
The Dubai Silver Cup, the opening tournament of the Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series, the most prestigious series of polo tournaments in Asia and the Middle East, takes place at the magnificient Al Habtoor Polo Resort, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, and is supported and recognised by the Government of Dubai, the Dubai Sports Council, and the UAE Polo Federation.
