Gstaad Polo and Hublot qualified to the championship match of the Hublot Polo Cup Gstaad, following their victories against Kielder Agro and Gstaad Palace, respectively, in the semifinals that were played on Saturday August 19. The prestigious tournament is hosted by the Polo Club Gstaad, in Gstaad, Switzerland, in a splendid setting with grounds sorrounded by the magical beauty of the Swiss Alps and sees four teams up to 14 goals, in participation. Britain’s Oliver Ellis and Charles Seavill are the official umpires,
The tournament kicked off on Thursday August 17. Title holders, Gstaad, with three members of last year’s winners, Sébastien Le Page, Lucas Labat and Raúl Laplacette, claimed an impressive 11-4 win over Hublot, while Gstaad Palace earned a close 8-7 win over Kielder Agro. Sébastien Le Page’s lineup will go head-go-head against Jürgen Schröder’s team for the coveted title, on Sunday August 20, at 3pm. Prior to the big final Hublot and Kielder Agro will play for the third place at 1,30pm.
