The British Open Gold Cup continued on Wednesday with two exciting semifinals at Cowdray Park Polo Club, as VS King Power and Dubai claimed respective victories against Park Place and Scone to secure a place in the tournament final. They will go head to head for the coveted golden trophy on Sunday.
In the opening match of the day, VS King Power and Park Place fought hard over all six chukkas. The tension subsided when Juan Martín Zubía scored the winning goal for the Thai team, taking a narrow 11-10 win and assuring a spot in the final.
Up next, Dubai beat Queen’s Cup champions Scone by 14 goals to 10. The match was tied in the third and fourth chukkas, but Albwardy’s team made an impressive comeback in the fifth, outscoring Scone 4-0. Dubai’s disciplined team play earned them a place in the tournament final.
