UAE Polo Pod defeated King Power 11 a 10, in the single match for the Gold Cup for the British Open, that was played on Friday July 2. Despite King Power had a stronger start, UAE Polo Pod earned a 4-all in the second chukka, and from then onwards, the match was very balanced, having being decided in the last chukka.
The tournament, that sees thirteen teams up to 22 goals, compete, is hosted by Cowdray Park Polo Club, in Midhurst, West Sussex, and it is one of the Grand Slams of Polo alongside the Argentine Open and the US Open.
Action will resume on Saturday July 3, with the following order of play:

3pm: Monterosso vs. BP Polo (Brooks)
The final of the Gold Cup is set for Sunday, July 25.
