A special event, which has caused much excitement in the polo world, took place in London on Tuesday, where the Chairman of the Saudi Polo Federation, Amr Zedan, and the President of the Federation of International Polo (FIP), Nicholas Coulquhon Denvers, gathered to sign a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU). The agreement is the first step towards incorporating the Saudi Polo Federation as an active member of the FIP.
It is worth highlighting the Saudi Polo Federation’s high level of commitment; just a few months since the organisation was founded, it has shown that the plan to develop polo in the largest country in the Middle East is becoming a reality. This step coincides with the paradigm shift in Saudi Arabia, which initiates the Arab country into an international context, adopting new customs and strengthening the decision to provide continued support to the world of polo, a sport with a rich history in the country.
PoloLine.tv was the only polo media outlet present at the event, which was held at the exclusive Lanesborough Hotel, located near Hyde Park. Aside from the aforementioned Amr Zedan and Nicholas Coulquhon-Denvers, the CEO of Guards Polo Club, Neil Hobday, was also present, among others.
