On a sunny Saturday, with several people in attendance, Guards Polo Club, set in Windsor Great Park, hosted a new editionnof the annual international match, the Coronation Cup, which has been renamed this year The King’s Coronation Cup, on the occasion of the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III, last. The historical trophy has been established in 1911, to conmemorate the coronation of His Majesty King George V, the great-grandfather of the current monarch.

The local team played a very good contest on The Queen’s Ground, the club’main field, against a very competitive Commonwealth lineup. At the end of the day, England widened their gap, which led them to te 12-8 victory.

Earlier in the morning, on The Prince’s Ground, and for the Whitebread Trophy, Young England defeated the Comonwealth 11-4. Louis Hine was named MVP, and Coruba, owned and ridden by William Harper, took BPP honors.
