UAE narrowly defeated Haboor by 9 goals to 8 to win the Emirates Polo Federation Cup on Saturday, January 16, at Dubai Polo & Equestrian Club, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

UAE got off to a better start, securing a 5-0 advantage in the first chukka. Habtoor struggled to get back into the game, and with one chukka left to play UAE’s lead had increased to four (8-4). Habtoor made an extraordinary comeback in the last chukka, outscoring UAE 4-1 (Lukin Monteverde scored for UAE); but their efforts weren’t enough to take the win, and UAE bagged the cup.

Don Juan, ridden by Toly Ulloa, was named BPP.
