The playoff between El Overo Z7 UAE, the eighth placed team within the 2023 ranking among those who played the 130° Argentine Polo Open, and the recent winners of the Cámara de Diputados Cup, La Irenita, was played on Sunday December 3, at the AAP Headquarters, in Pilar. El Overo Z7 UAE’s Teo Lacau, was subbed in by Santiago Cernadas.
Following a very close match, that was only decided in the last minutes of play, El Overo made an impressive comeback in the second half. With less than a minute in regulation time, Cruz Heguy converted a penalty that secured El Overo Z7 UAE the narrow 13-12 win and a spot in the 2024 Triple Crown.
