Dundas and La Fe are through the championship match of the US Open Women’s Polo Championship, after defeating BTA and San Saba, respectively, in the semifinals that were played on Thursday March 16, at Port Mayaca Polo Club. The most prestigious ladies competition in the United States, that kicked off on Friday March 10, has been played between Port Mayaca Polo Club and the brand new USPA-owned National Polo Center-Wellington, set in Wellington, Florida, and sees five teams up to 24 goals (ladies handicap), partake.
In the first semifinal, Dundas bounced back in the two last chukkas, to earn a hard fought 8-5 win over BTA. The former had Ana de La Fuente subbing in for Sarah Siegel Magness. In the following game, La Fe claimed an impressive 8-3 victory against San Saba, who had Lottie Lamacraft as a substitute for Gillian Johnston.
Dundas and La Fe will go head-to-head for the coveted US Open Women’s Polo Championship title on Sunday, March 19, 3pm.
