After securing a 11.5-9 win against UAE Polo, on Saturday January 27, Habtoor – with Benjamin Panelo subbing in for the injured Bautista Bayugar – remained undefeated and qualified to the championship match of the Dubai Silver Cup. Meanwhile, Dubai Wolves by CAFU claimed a narrow 7-6.5 victory over Bangash; as a consequence, a triple tie between Bangash, UAE Polo and Dubai Wolves by CAFU led to a penalty shootout between the three of them to determine the semifinalists of the Silver Cup. The losers of the shootout will play the subsidiary final.
The Dubai Silver Cup, the opening tournament of the Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series, the most prestigious series of polo tournaments in Asia and the Middle East, takese place at the magnificient Al Habtoor Polo Resort, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is supported and recognised by the Government of Dubai, the Dubai Sports Council, and the UAE Polo Federation. The contest is played under the rules of the Hurlingham Polo Association (HPA).
The Dubai Silver Cup sees four teams up to 20 goals, in participation, and the finals are due on Saturday February 3.

The Silver Cup 2024 is played under the rules of the Hurlingham Polo Association (HPA), and officiated by its qualified umpires. Categorized within the World Polo Tour’s WPT Cup category, the tournament holds significant global recognition. Winners of the Silver Cup will be bestowed with 60 points, finalists with 30 points, semi-finalists with 15 points, and all other participating players with 8 points, contributing to their standing on the international polo stage.
