The Dubai Silver Cup continued on Wednesday January 24, with double action, that had Bangash and Habtoor victorious. The Dubai Silver Cup, the opening tournament of the Dubai Polo Gold Cup Series, the most prestigious series of polo tournaments in Asia and the Middle East, that’s undergoing at the magnificient Al Habtoor Polo Resort, in Dubai, United Arab Emirates, is supported and recognised by the Government of Dubai, the Dubai Sports Council, and the UAE Polo Federation. The contest is played under the rules of the Hurlingham Polo Association (HPA).
The Dubai Silver Cup sees four teams up to 20 goals, and the finals are due to be played on Saturday February 3.

UAE Polo, who won their debut match, lost to Bangash 12.5-10; meanwhile, Habtoor claimed their second win against Dubai Wolves by CAFU, by a close 13-12 score. In the fifth chukka, Habtoor’s Bautista Bayugar had to be subbed in by Tomás Fernández Llorente.

The Silver Cup 2024 is played under the rules of the Hurlingham Polo Association (HPA), and officiated by its qualified umpires. Categorized within the World Polo Tour’s WPT Cup category, the tournament holds significant global recognition. Winners of the Silver Cup will be bestowed with 60 points, finalists with 30 points, semi-finalists with 15 points, and all other participating players with 8 points, contributing to their standing on the international polo stage.
