The Dubai Gold Cup Series has updated its 2022 calendar, which has led to a change of tournament dates. The Dubai Gold Cup Series is the most important series of polo tournaments in Asia and the Middle East, an event that has been growing constantly for the last ten years. The Gold Cup Series kicks off on Saturday, January 22, with the Silver Cup. The tournament is for teams up to 18 goals. Action will come to an end on Saturday, April 16, with the finals of the Dubai Cup.
It is worth noting that one of the most significant changes means that all finals will be played on Saturdays. Recently, the United Arab Emirates (UAE) announced as of January 1, weekends are due to start on Friday afternoon and run through to Sunday. Prior to this, weekends in the UAE were only on Friday and Saturday.
