The drao of the historical British Open Polo Championship for the Cowdray Gold Cup, hosted by Cowdray Park Polo Club, set in Midhurst, West Sussex, was conducted on Monday June 10. One of the most remarkable tournaments of the international calendar, the tournament was played for the first time in 1956 and was established by John Churchill Pearson, Third Viscount Cowdray and the man who made a significant contribution to the comeback of polo in England after the Second World War. On that occasion, an Argentine team, Los Indios, claimed the coveted golden trophy. The lineup was composed of Jorge Marin Mareno, Pablo Nagore, Antonio Heguy and Juan Carlos Harriott Sr.

The 2024 edition of the British Open will see eighteen teams up to 22 goals, in participation. Teams are split in four leagues with the four semifinalists of the Queen’s Cup as seeded. The tournament will run through June 25 to July 21, and ALL THE MATCHES WILL BE STREAMED LIVE ON POLOLINE TV.
