The season in the United Arab Emirates is in full swing; while the Dubai Silver Cup, currently underway in Dubai, is stepping into the deciding stages, the draw of the Emirates Polo Championship International took place at Ghantoot Racing & Polo Club, in Abu Dhabi. The tournament will see six teams up to 12 goals, partake. Teams are split in two leagues, with five of them already played the UAE Polo Federation Cup, with AM Polo victorious.
The competition will have teams play four chukkas per game, in crossed leagues – those within League A will compete against those in League B, and vice versa. Each team is expected to play three league games and the best of each league will go through semifinals. The championship match will take place on Saturday February 8.
The Emirates Polo Championship International will kick off on Sunday January 26, and matches are yet TBC.
