The Electrolit Gold Cup, that forms part of the 52nd. International Polo Tournament Andalucia, commenced on Monday August 14. Tuesday saw two hard fought high goal games, with Dubai and San Luis victorious over Sainte Mesme and Dos Lunas, respectively. The former claimed their win with a last minute goal by Rufino Lahulé; meanwhile, San Luis needed an extra chukka to win, through a corner converted by Guillermo Caset.
There was low goal action, as well; Essso, Cotton House, Aguilas and Jeju Polo Team were the winners of the opening day.
The finals of the Electrolit Gold Cup are due through Friday August 25 and Saturday August 26.
